Gunfire had been reported at Reynolds High School in Troutdale, north of Portland, a police official for the city said. "All I know is there is a shooting at the high school," the official said.
The Multnomah County Sheriff's Department said in a Twitter message that the shooter was dead and that the situation had been stabilized, but it gave no further details.
CNN had earlier reported that some injuries had been sustained in the shooting, but neither of two local fire departments that responded to the scene, nor a private ambulance service, American Medical Response, have transported any patients from the school, officials from those agencies said.

Sacramento's Tommy T's Comedy Dinner Theatre Is Back!
Sacramento area lost Garbeau's Dinner Theatre several years ago due to hard times. Tommy T's Comedy and Dinner Theatre took the beautiful room at Nimbus Winery over from them but soon also had to lease out the room to another group who failed by not keeping their niche consistent. Tommy T began doing dinner show operations in Los Angeles many years ago and expanded to the Bay Area where his Pleasanton Comedy Store has thrived. While comedy in the Sacramento area has more competition than elsewhere, Tommy T is confident enough in the economy that he has reopened at the Nimbus Winery location again and has plans to diversify with music shows and other entertainment to be announced.
Now Appearing
May 1st, 2nd & 3rd Craig Shoemaker
Tommy T's is having a "Wounded Warrior Project" show coming May 22,23,24 & 25th. All of the comedians are wounded warriors themselves who have taken up comedy. It is a great opportunity to support this Wounded Warrior Project. Reviews on this show have been great. Drama Therapy has been a great tool for traumatic injury recovery and healing for many years as is Music therapy, it will be inspiring to see these Heroes use comedy as their gift to their audiences is also a gift to themselves. Tommy T's will be honoring our Heroes also by inviting scores of wounded warriors locallly to the shows for free. Way to go Tommy! (916) 608-2233 for info

New Dinner Theatre Project In Sacramento
Theatrical Producer Steven Masone has contracted with The Red Lion -Woodlake Hotel to bring The Phoinix Players of Eugene Oregon, an Internationally acclaimed Musical Theatre Troupe for a 4 week production of a “Starry Evening.”
A Musical Revue of timeless treasures from hollywood classic floorshows! Paired with amazing choreography and the charm and wit of a vaudeville stage...A Starry Evening, promises an evening under the stars with comedy, romance, song and dance and all the trimmings!
Masone brought Musical Dinner Theatre first to Sacramento in 1977 at the then Sheraton Inn on Fulton Ave. Later he produced shows at the Bacchus Theatre in Old Sacramento with Dinner downstairs at the SaddleRock Restaurant, where still later on he became part owner and general manager along with Steamboat Slough Restaurant and Resort.
“We hope to be renegotiating after the four weeks to make Sacramento the permanent home for The Phoinix Players” Says Steven Masone. “Because of the high cost of royalties and not sparing in production for costuming, set design etc... working in a Hotel venue will allow us to produce 6 to 8 major broadway musicals year round.”
Join us under the summer sky at the Red Lion Woodlake Hotel for “A Starry Evening!” Literally! A show for everyone and a night to remember!
A Starry Evening opens on Friday July 11 at 7 pm. And every Friday & Saturdaythru Aug 2. 7/11 & 7/12, 7/18 & 19, 7/25 & 26, 8/01 & 02 “If we sell reservations well in advance, we will announce the Broadway Musical to follow Starry Eveningas soon as possible. Ticket information is coming soon!

Raised in the Sacramento Delta as a young boy my brother and I would venture through Freeport, Clarksburg, Steamboat Slough and wherever our Schwinn bicycles could take us. Fishing, hunting, trapping crawdads and gigging frogs. We would sell the frogs to kids at school, and fried up frog-legs at our camp-outs with a crawdad boil and fresh picked delta corn-on-the-cob. Exploring and sometimes getting in trouble raiding sugar beet fields and fruit orchards, we thought it exciting to get chased as no one was ever able to catch us. ( But a lot of cuts and scratches the price!)
Though we did have some virtues, helping the Delta farmers keep down the jack-rabbit and ground squirrel population with our .22 rifles, and sometimes bow and arrows, we saw ourselves as real Huckleberry Finns and Tom Sawyers with territory rights to do as we pleased! Our fantasies could have been due to my being an avid Mark Twain fan, or just genetic from my Louisianian heritage where my Great Grandfather lived and shrimped for a living out of Shreveport La. When the fields flooded, we would build rafts to spear the fish that swam in the shallows.
Later in life I was part owner and General Manager of Steamboat Slough Resort where we had a restaurant and docks for fueling up and enjoying delta life. Taking that opportunity to use our watercraft rentals to finally explore more of the 1,000 miles of Delta Waterways, I was forever bonded with the magical wonder one experiences because of the sense that this living organic Eco-System that we call ... Delta, gets in your blood. It's a river rat thing. Anyone can partake of it's authenticity and flavor when they come and explore... The Delta.

If Governor Brown and the Big-Ag and Water Districts of Southern California have their way and build a "Twin Tunnel" system or whatever kind of Peripheral Canal they sell to voters, future generations may not be able to enjoy the kind of outdoor water world adventures the Delta still offers. While an overwhelming majority of Urbanite's in the delta area have never taken advantage of their "out of sight out of mind" natural treasure, they will wish they had when summer delta winds no longer cool the scorched valley in triple digit heat, and other related environmental adverse side effects like droughts and outrageous water bills remind them of their carelessness.
Certainly the tens of billions of dollars that they want to spend can be used to find alternative water projects so the fragile Delta is not the main source to put at risk. The fish and wildlife are just one of many so very important and vital aspects of dangers that could cause a catastrophic mistake with no way of recovery.
The science of the current environmental impact reporting have not even considered invasive species including microbiological and pollution issues that currently threaten the habitat and are still not solved. We have to fix the levee deterioration that is in the hands of the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers, and do it without shutting down business and ruining tourism at the same time.
The special interest water companies are getting the long end the stick. We the taxpayers will pay for the project which could ruin the Delta and then these companies get our water for free charging exorbitant amounts. They just pay for the lines from our canals to Urban systems. This unequal arrangement needs to be revisited at the very least if not scrapped altogether. Each involved municipality can go to community owned water districts who will care about impacting their communities and not making profit the priority.

'Rock Stars' At The Red Cane Theatre
By Steven Masone
The Red Cane Theatre in Eugene, Oregon is this city's best kept secret...or worse for those who have not discovered the talented Phoinix Players, who are performing... Daughter of Triton, a little Mermaid Story...rocked-out!
Adapted from the Hans Christian Andersen story, Director Mary Huls uses great rock songs for the musical score and every cast member being a triple threat... makes for an enjoyable journey where nostalgic rock & roll hits keeps on coming and pushes the show along with very rare musical theater excitement. The show includes original dialogue written by Mary Huls, with an incredible set design and choreography... par excellence.
An original opening song that explains this is not the Disney version, transitions the viewer from wondering if they are going to like a Little Mermaid story, to being pulled into the story line by great singing without mics and dancing accompanied with comedic relief all the way to the finale. A must see! You will be thoroughly entertained and impressed by this talented and gifted company.
Sitting in the very back of the house listening to the vocals being performed with no amplification, took me back to old school musical Theatre that most communities are bereft of due to the lack of youthful talent abandoned by budgets that cut out Theatre Arts programs from our schools. It is so refreshing to find a troupe full of young triple threat talent and a Director like Mary Huls who has not lost a vision for artistic excellence and risk taking. Many might have thought about getting out of the box with an original adaptation like Daughter, but finding the right rock songs that worked with the story line and moved the show seamlessly and coherently, is another matter. Mary achieved just that with bravo and a fluent synergistic steroidal Rock opera style that rocked out the house to success.

Nina's Ukraine Homecoming: 'Seventeen Years... Everything Has Changed.'
Nina's Ukraine Homecoming: 'Seventeen Years... Everything Has Changed.'
Nina Chobu-Linsky came to America seventeen years ago from Ukraine. She is a single mom with four children pursuing the American dream in Sacramento, California. A student and working mom. This is a documentary via Facebook of her return home to Ukraine which coincides with the Russian invasion of Ukraine's Crimea.
-
Steven Masone shared Nina Chobu-Linskiy's photo.
Finally!!!! I was able to book my flight!!!! Going back to Ukraine 1ST time in 16.5 years.... Super excited. ✈- · Shar
- Made a profile on odnoklassniki.ru to find my childhood friends and classmates from Ukraine. Excited to find some and to even find out that some of them have just arrived to Kiev for the same reason I'm going there for!!!! Great minds think alike. Got their cell #s and look forward to meeting and working with them all. :)))))) #cantwait

Baby girl got the world map out and found the place where mommy is going. My cutie... Will miss my babies a lot!- A little nervous getting away for so long. Can't get my kids off my mind already. But I'm going to try to relax and do this thing and have a good time. — at San Francisco International Airport (SFO).
- This is nice when you got a 12 hr layaway. Time for lunch and some homework. — atDelta terminal, Delta SkyClub, LGA in NYC.
- Made it safe to last stop. About to board for Ukraine. Should be there within 6 hours. Kind of exhausted... — traveling to Kyiv, Ukraine from Gate D10.
- They've been announcing their routes since like 5am! View from my window.. Gonna go find a ride to Izmail, 100 kilometers from Odessa.
- To my family and friends concerned about my safety in Ukraine: The conditions in the Odessa area and even Kiev is stabilized. There are no gun men in the streets. Lol. Some people from the East side of the country even come here for safety. So there's no need to worry. People are very mellow and go on with their daily business. No violence. The weather is in low to mid 40s. It's perfect! I'm navigating through the country and within cities like I've always been here. I don't feel afraid or unsafe and I am being safe. I'm glad I decided to visit here!!
- I can't believe how many abandoned dogs I've seen here. They probably don't even have shelters here... Wanna get an idea how it looks like? Just imagine all your local shelters let all their dogs out.
- Got to Izmail a few hours ago. Got myself a room, left my luggage and went exploring midtown on foot like a zombie still adopting to time change. Got some groceries and came back half dead. Now falling asleep... Haven't seen any of my relatives yet, planning to start visiting tomorrow. Goodnight. — feeling sleepy.
- It's Wed morning here and I've been here since Monday morn and still haven't had a chance to see anyone yet. I just wanted to see the city here and rest up before I see everyone. I guess people have been looking for me here.. oops. Went to sleep last night at 5pm, woke up at 4am this morn. Slowly but surely adjusting to this time. It's 4:45am and I'm video chatting with my kids. Hope I'm not too loud for my neighbors next door. Lol
- Yesterday I wanted to try to live on a budget of an ordinary local person here. So here's what I could get. There's no way I would spend over 100 hrivni ($15) on groceries.
- Lenin still stands in Izmail. Pic from yesterday.
- The best hotel in town! Lol place I'm staying at the moment. Day 2. Slept til 4am. Did homework til noon. Now got out to go see this world and visit Kislica.
- Кислицкая школа. The school I went to 4-7th grade. Gonna go meet the teachers!
- Дорога на Кислицу. On my way to Kislica.
- The school I went to 1st to 4th grade. It's no longer open though. They built a new elementary school.
- Decided to walk from school all the way to the old house we lived in and take the same route I did as a kid. Just remembered the time when I once got attacked by a pack of dogs when I was walking home. Scary! I hope this won't happen today! Lol
- The same old grocery store on Lenina Boulevard. Haha
- How about this for a restroom? Lol On Grandpa's old property.
- Made it to my best friend's house tonight. We went back to Izmail and got my stuff at the hotel. Going to stay with her now. We have so many memories and so much to talk about!!! So awesome. We were classmates from Kindergarten through 7th grade. So many funny and silly things we still do when we're together. :)))))
- Лиличка... Маленький ангелочек. — with Marina Chobu.
- Not the best quality video but still. A small glimpse inside the old house.
